Matthew 25:21 ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Why God would you have me leave a field where I feel confident in? To go and do...I have no clue!! At the time I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I knew He had a plan, He just didn’t relay the message to me! Therefore, with curious ambition I was saying “yes” to everything!
- Put on an Educator’s Retreat called Devote? Yes.
- Lead bible study? Yes.
- Head fundraising for JPII? Yes.
- Show up to ALL the classrooms that ask? Yes.
- Attend Rachel Hollis’ RISE conference with a BRAND new friend for 3 days in Florida? Oh, yes!
- Put on another retreat combining my two passions, faith and fitness? You bet!
Through these yes’ I have discovered a few things, I have a problem with saying yes. And true to my enneagram number 7 traits, I will say yes every time because I’m always searching for something fun, new and exciting! I am not saying you should say “yes” to everything, but I am saying that through saying “yup” I have found my passion. I have also found what I’m NOT passionate about! Through all this He has shown me what I’m supposed to do. (it’s about time, I was lost there for a bit)
Leading women to find love in God allows the bold, courageous, strong, fearless, loving, wise and dangerously motivated women to BREAK out of the old shell of a body that binds us and holds us prisoner to doubt, small mindedness, fear, insecurity, comparison and hate. I would hear the phrase “I am free in Him” and I had no idea what that meant. It sounded great, but what did it look like to live out? “Women speaking up for themselves and for those around them is the strongest force we have to change the world.” - Melinda Gates
I want to encourage women to not ignore that thing. You know that thing/idea that you can’t stop thinking about. That thing, is from God. He wants you to go forth with it, in Him. He’ll be there. He’ll give you everything you need to fulfill His will for you. With God, women are free. With supportive women to encourage her, she is unstoppable! I know now why He led me here. Why he pulled me from something I was confident and comfortable in. “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.” - Esther 4:14
I will be your number one cheerleader. I want front row seats to your amazing show that you are going to star in when you say “yes” to the love of God.
Then at the end of my life, here on earth, I just want Him to say to me “well done, Ashley.”
